Our client is a fast growing, innovative and forward looking automotive related group of companies and they are looking for someone to join their marketing group as a Web Content Specialist.

The Web Content Specialist will be responsible for the day to day production and management of content for all websites in the group, for maintaining and sharing knowledge of current web technologies and for contributing to and driving the group's overall online marketing and content strategy. This role is part content management and part marketing and you will be responsible for working with managers at individual companies in the group to develop online marketing programs that tie into offline activities.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build up their experience in web content management and have a real impact on the success of a group of related companies. The key success factors for the Web Content Specialist are to increase qualified website traffic and deliver the maximum online sales leads possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of web direction for all sites in the group
  • Create and constantly update quality, engaging content for all websites in the group
  • Develop and maintain appropriate information architecture and design standards for all websites
  • Actively gather content from within the group
  • Write and maintain relevant online blogs
  • Develop and deploy effective SEO and lead generation programs
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of third party content providers and materials
  • Develop small web applications
  • Analyze web traffic and deploy solutions to efficiently increase traffic and conversions
  • Provide marketing campaign assistance as required.

Requirements:

  • Two years experience in a similar web content role - content generation, research, website writing, blogging, and writing and proofreading news releases.
  • Experience in internet marketing, sales lead generation, online CRM tools or equivalent online marketing.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written communications, both online and offline
  • Experience in SEO strategies.
  • Knowledge of automotive sector preferred.
  • Experience working with XHTML & CSS
  • Experience managing site architecture and content organization
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be a team player able to meet required deadlines
