Senior Account Manager - Telecom - Vancouver

CLOSED - Our client is an international company delivering mission critical business solutions to leading telecom and communication service provider clients around the world.

This integral senior sales role is key to the company's ongoing business development strategy. The Account Manager will be the primary customer contact responsible for identifying, creating and acquiring new business opportunities and maintaining and leveraging our valued customer relationships.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in selling complex solutions to communications service providers as well as extensive experience in developing and maintaining senior level relationships with Communications Service Providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a guide and strategic partner to customers by becoming intimately knowledgeable of their customers' key business challenges, culture and environment, specifically market trends, future technology, competition and partners
  • Become a trusted advisor to the company's customers and a reliable focal point for business and systems issues
  • Perform as the final point of accountability for solutions delivery
  • Lead the commercial negotiations with the customer
  • Develop strategic sales plan and steps for achieving sales goals.
  • Identify and develop third party business opportunities
  • Prepare the Annual Account Plan (AAP) and monitors performance against the plan

Skills:

  • A definitive track record of customer-centric behavior
  • Capable of working in a heavily-matrixed corporate environment
  • Polished and professional executive presence
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Creative and an ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker
  • Strong business acumen

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining senior level relationships with Communications Service Providers
  • Experienced in selling complex solutions to Communications Service Providers
  • Experience managing an account P&L in complex project environments

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA preferred
