Manager of Online Ad Sales and Operations - Vancouver

They are looking for a Web-savvy, professional in Online Advertising with deep experience across all facets of the online advertising business to help close their existing opportunities and find new ones. Equal parts ad sales and ad operations, the Manager of Online Ad Sales and Operations will be responsible for leading efforts to maximize ad revenues and also book, optimize, troubleshoot and deliver ad campaigns across their online properties. 

The successful candidate will build and leverage a deep understanding of the company's publishing and ad inventory in order to deliver campaign strategies and media plans for both third party advertising clients and the company's own product lines and brand visibility

Responsibilities

Online Ad Sales

  • Establish and grow relationships with online advertisers and ad networks
  • Identify and pursue new advertising and revenue opportunities
  • Report on ad sales, impressions and related metrics
  • Acquire new advertisers and a sustainable book of repeat business
  • Own campaign performance and advertiser 'satisfaction'
  • Develop media campaign plans for advertisers and internal teams
  • Own the online Media Kit (products and pricing)
  • Forecast revenue, booked orders and avail's
  • Responsible for billing and collection activity

Online Ad Operations

  • Manage all online ad campaigns including: booking, scheduling, trafficking (account setup, targeting, loading creative etc), monitoring and optimizing
  • Coordinate Quality testing for all creative components and implementation of all campaigns including campaign performance and adjusting as required.
  • Optimize all campaigns on an 'on-going' basis
  • Provide internal and external reporting as required (ie. campaign performance reports)
  • Develop and maintain all procedures for ad operations including trafficking with 3rd party networks
  • Develop and maintain inventory and forecasting estimates
  • Proactively research, recommend and implement improvements to the ad operations department, ad trafficking systems, ad technologies and targeting options
  • Develop and share with the product management team insights on ad serving and optimization in order to preserve existing and develop new revenue streams.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of dedicated experience managing Internet advertising
  • Experience with DoubleClick DART (or other major ad-serving platforms) and AdSense
  • Experience as an advertising account manager or similar role
  • Numbers-driven with strong analytical skills and experience using web analytics
  • Smart go-getter who thrives in a start-up environment
  • Team player comfortable collaborating with others
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
