Senior Java/J2EE Developer, Contract
Our client is a well-established Financial Institution located in Vancouver. They are currently seeking a (contract) Senior Java/J2EE Developer for web banking projects. As the successful candidate, you have a university degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years experience in a J2EE environment.
You have thorough knowledge and understanding of methods, standards and best practices with respect to software development. You are an analytical thinker with strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills. You communicate effectively both orally and in writing with technical teams and other co-workers, work to schedules, and adapt easily to changing priorities and business needs. You thrive in a team environment juggling multiple projects.
This role requires a strong background in:
- EJB 2, JSP, Servlet, MS-SQL server, MySql and Hibernate
- MVC Frameworks such as Struts, Spring
- Web Services and JUnit
- Experience with version control systems (CVS and Subversion)
- Jboss and Tomcat application Server
- GOF and J2EE design patterns
