Interactive Art Director

Nov 12, 2008 - Our client is a well respected developer of social networking communities and applications for the music, gaming, entertainment and knowledge management industries. They are a passionate and committed group that loves music, games, social communities and of course, working hard and having fun!

They are currently looking for a seasoned Art Director to join their team and take control of the artistic vision and the development and communication of creative concepts. Leading a team of designers and production specialists, the Art Director is responsible for both creative leadership and working with a creative team to translate creative concepts into visual expression.

Responsibilities:

• Own the artistic vision, direction and creative development
• Manage and provide direction to the creative design and production team
• Lead the strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution.
• Create design information documents (site maps, online ad rich story boards, user flow, wireframes) for websites and online advertising

Requirements:

• Previous agency experience.
• 4+ years interactive design work.
• 2+ years Interactive Art Direction experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design practices including usability, interface design, and interaction design
• Understanding of motion design and the strengths and limitations of Flash, Ajax, Flex, and other emerging platforms.
• Exceptional ability to articulate and present design processes to internal teams and clients.
• Strong working knowledge of web design programs such as Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience working in complex design environments and with cross-functional teams.
