While working in the Employee Development and Training department of RBC she witnessed first hand the importance of striking a balance between hard and soft skills and how “fit” can impact employee engagement, retention and succession planning.


With RBC, she worked closely with management teams in a variety of departments and levels to develop and implement learning strategies to positively impact business partners’ goals and objectives. Lara is a founding partner of Six Degrees Recruitment and leverages her 10 years of experience in the competitive talent recruitment industry to consistently find the right candidates for the right positions.


Her experience earned in Canada and Australia covers both agency side recruiting, conducting searches for companies like Microsoft to in-house recruiting as a Senior Recruiter for Best Buy Canada and HSBC Bank Canada.


Lara has been successful conducting searches across a wide range of industries with a specific focus on the IT sector. Her success as a recruitment consultant has been based on her ability to quickly establish trusting relationships with her clients through the quality and integrity of service she provides.


A firm believer in recruiting from within the 'candidate community' Lara has been an active participant in the local PMI chapter and local colleges, giving presentations on career searching and the job market.
